We get many questions about our services, all of which are answered at our pre-shoot meetings. Here you will find a few of the more common ones.

What types of Photography do you do?

John Rose Photography provide professional commercial photographic services to businesses, organisations, and individuals. We specialise in high quality images for marketing, advertising, and branding purposes. We help businesses showcase products, services, and personal brands in the best possible way. Whether it’s an entire hotel or care-home, product shots, corporate event, press launch, or just a few headshots, we have the skills and experience to deliver our client’s needs. 

Do you do drone photography?

Yes, fully licenced with the CAA, we follow all airspace regulations and carry full insurance for commercial drone flights. If you are considering aerial photography, please make sure you contact us well ahead of time as many locations have specific requirements, permissions and regulations for drone flights.

Do you take Publicity Photographs for Newspapers and Magazines?

Yes, we are fully experienced and work for local and national press, as well as magazine publications.

Do you only work with big companies?

No, we love working with businesses of all sizes. Creating impactful visuals to help even the smallest client attract customers is so satisfying. We can even offer specialized packages for startups on a budget. 

I need images that will give a specific message to my website visitors. How can i make sure the right message is given?

We take time to understand your vision and your target customer. We have a wealth of experience in producing the kind of photography that shows businesses, their products, and their services in the best possible light. We understand that the images we provide must bring more to the table than merely filling a brief - they need to perfectly interpret and convey your company message.

How far do you travel?

We work both locally and nationally and we love to travel.  We promise that we will always work with you to minimise travel costs as much as possible and achieve your project in the most cost effective way.

How do you deliver our images?

All images are supplied as digital downloads via our client management system.  You will receive an email with a link to your folder where a simple click or two will allow easy downloading of your portfolio.  For the convenience of your marketing team, all images are supplied in both high resolution for print, and low resolution for web and social sharing.

When will I get the Images after a shoot?

Depending upon the complexity of the work, post-production time can vary. Delivery is rarely extended beyond one working week.

How much do you charge?

We are always transparent with our fees which are discussed during our initial consultation.  We do not publish our fees online as “one size does not fit all” and we want to be able to give you the best possible rate that we can.

Are you insured?

YES – We are fully insured. We carry public liability and professional indemnity.  We also have specific insurance for commercial drone operations.

Can I see my headshot to make sure I am happy with it?

Yes, you will see your image live on the laptop as it’s taken.

Can you come to my workplace to do my headshot?

We are always happy to travel to your workplace.  In fact, if you have multiple members of staff that require headshots, it’s often easier for us to come to you as it saves having people out of the office.

Do you do re-touching if required?

Minor re-touching is usually carried out free of charge, but if you need large amounts done we will of course agree any charges before going ahead.

Do I have to send the images to my printer and web designer?

We supply your images digitally via an online link.  They are supplied in two folders, high resolution – print ready, and low resolution – web use.  If you wish, we can send the link straight to your printer or web designer who will be able to download them directly.

Do you do videography?

We are commercial photographers, not videographers.  When clients express a need for videography we would work with partners who specialise in this field to deliver their requirements.

when do we pay?

When we deliver the images, we will also issue our invoice.  We ask you to pay within 14 days.  All payments are to be made by bank transfer or BACS.

My business has an established brand and look that I want to maintain.  Can you match the style we already have?

Yes, we can look at your current brand and emulate it across the new content we create.

My designer wants the images in a specific format?

We can work with your designer or printer to ensure the images we supply are in the specific format they need.

Do I get the copyright of my photos?

John Rose Photography retains copyright. Images are supplied to you with licence to use for all your direct marketing and promotional purposes.

Can I let a third party use the images you create for us?

We grant you licence to use the work for the purposes of your own direct marketing and promotional purposes.  Please check with us before sharing images with third parties for any other purpose.
